Plot Summary
Sidhu (Akshay Kumar) is an orphan who works as a vegetable cutter at his adoptive father Dada's (Mithun Chakraborty) paratha stall in Chandni Chowk. He is constantly looking for shortcuts to make money and fortune, but ends up in trouble. One day, he meets two strangers, Chopstick (Ranvir Shorey) and Chiang (Roger Yuan), who claim that he is the reincarnation of Liu Sheng, a legendary Chinese warrior who was born with a birthmark on his arm. They convince him to travel to China with them, where he will be honored as a hero and receive a large sum of money.
However, Sidhu is unaware that he is being used as a pawn by Hojo (Gordon Liu), a ruthless smuggler who wants to conquer the village of Thamel, where Liu Sheng's statue is worshipped. Hojo has hired Chopstick and Chiang to bring Sidhu to China and make him fight against his men, so that he can prove that Liu Sheng's legend is false and demoralize the villagers. Hojo also has a personal vendetta against Dada, who was once his partner in crime but betrayed him and escaped to India.
In China, Sidhu meets Sakhi (Deepika Padukone), a beautiful TV reporter who is also the twin sister of Suzy (also Deepika Padukone), a Chinese henchwoman of Hojo. Sidhu falls in love with Sakhi, but she rejects him because she thinks he is a fraud. Sidhu also meets an old monk (also Akshay Kumar), who trains him in kung fu and reveals that he is the real Liu Sheng, who was frozen in ice for centuries and has now awakened. The monk tells Sidhu that he has to fulfill his destiny and save Thamel from Hojo.
Sidhu faces many challenges and dangers along the way, but also discovers his true potential and courage. He teams up with the monk, Sakhi, Dada and the villagers to fight against Hojo and his army. In the final battle, Sidhu defeats Hojo and frees Thamel from his tyranny. He also wins Sakhi's heart and returns to India with her, Dada and the monk.
